Das Grundsystem der Mailverteiler wird vom Leibniz-Rechenzentrum zur Verfügung gestellt und basiert auf dem System majordomo. Im Majordomo-System stehen zudem folgende Befehle zur Verfügung:

  • Subscribe yourself (or <address> if specified) to the named <list>. 
subscribe <list> [<address>]
  • Unsubscribe yourself (or <address> if specified) from the named <list>. "unsubscribe *" will remove you (or <address>) from all lists. This may not work if you have subscribed using multiple addresses. 
unsubscribe <list> [<address>]
  • Get a file related to <list>. 
get <list> <filename>
  • Return an index of files you can "get" for <list>. 
index <list>
  • Find out which lists you (or <address> if specified) are on. 
which [<address>]
  • Find out who is on the named <list>. 
who <list>
  • Retrieve the general introductory information for the named <list>. 
info <list>
  • Retrieve the introductory message sent to new users. Non-subscribers may not be able to retrieve this. 
intro <list>
  • Show the lists served by this Majordomo server. 
lists
  • Retrieve this message. 
help
  • Stop processing commands (useful if your mailer adds a signature). 
end

Wobei <list> mit dem Namen der betreffenden Liste zu ersetzen ist, also z.B. 'ibpsa-forum'. Über die Teilnahme entscheidet der Verein; Mitglieder partizipieren automatisch am System, falls gewünscht.

Die Versendung von Werbe- oder Spam-Emails ist verboten und führt zum permanenten Ausschluss von den Verteilern.
